La structure du syst\u00e8me solaire peut \u00eatre rapidement d\u00e9crite comme suit :<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soleil - Mercure - V\u00e9nus - Terre - Mars<\/strong>\u00a0(ceinture d'ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes)\u00a0<strong>- Jupiter - Saturne - Uranus - Neptune -<\/strong>\u00a0(ceinture de Kuiper, y compris Pluton) - (nuage de Oort) - (h\u00e9liosph\u00e8re)<\/p>\n<p>Les diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments sont examin\u00e9s plus en d\u00e9tail ci-dessous :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Les plan\u00e8tes du syst\u00e8me solaire :<\/strong>\u00a0Notre syst\u00e8me solaire est compos\u00e9 de 8 plan\u00e8tes (Mercure, V\u00e9nus, Terre, Mars, Jupiter, Saturne, Uranus, Neptune) et de 5 plan\u00e8tes naines (C\u00e9r\u00e8s, Makemake, Haumea, Eris, Pluton) ainsi que de milliers d'ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes et de com\u00e8tes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes :<\/strong>\u00a0La plupart des ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes de notre syst\u00e8me solaire sont situ\u00e9s entre les plan\u00e8tes Mars et Jupiter et sont simplement appel\u00e9s \"ceinture d'ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes\n<ul>\n<li>Les experts estiment que la ceinture d'ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes situ\u00e9e entre Mars et Jupiter contient plus de 750 000 ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes d'un diam\u00e8tre de 1 km ou plus, ainsi que des millions d'ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes plus petits et de m\u00e9t\u00e9orites (roches).<\/li>\n<li>Certains ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes ont des orbites qui les am\u00e8nent parfois \u00e0 entrer en collision avec la Terre ou d'autres plan\u00e8tes du syst\u00e8me solaire interne.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Com\u00e8tes :<\/strong>\u00a0La majorit\u00e9 des com\u00e8tes du syst\u00e8me solaire sont plus \u00e9loign\u00e9es de la Terre que Pluton et se trouvent dans la ceinture de Kuiper et le nuage d'Oort.\n<ul>\n<li>Les com\u00e8tes du syst\u00e8me solaire sont principalement compos\u00e9es de glace et de roche. Lorsqu'une com\u00e8te s'approche du soleil, une partie de la glace contenue dans son noyau fond et se transforme en gaz ; c'est ce gaz qui forme les \"queues\" caract\u00e9ristiques des com\u00e8tes<\/li>\n<li>Les com\u00e8tes sont divis\u00e9es en com\u00e8tes \u00e0 courte dur\u00e9e de vie et com\u00e8tes \u00e0 longue dur\u00e9e de vie ; les com\u00e8tes \u00e0 courte dur\u00e9e de vie terminent leur orbite en moins de 200 ans et sont suppos\u00e9es provenir de la ceinture de Kuiper, tandis que les com\u00e8tes \u00e0 longue dur\u00e9e de vie terminent leur orbite en plus de 200 ans et proviennent probablement du nuage d'Oort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Syst\u00e8me solaire interne :<\/strong>\u00a0Les quatre plan\u00e8tes les plus proches du Soleil - Mercure, V\u00e9nus, la Terre et Mars - sont appel\u00e9es \"plan\u00e8tes rocheuses\" (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9es plan\u00e8tes rocheuses, plan\u00e8tes terrestres ou plan\u00e8tes terrestres) car elles ont toutes une surface rocheuse solide. Le soleil poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement un champ magn\u00e9tique (l'h\u00e9liosph\u00e8re) qui englobe l'ensemble de notre syst\u00e8me solaire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lunes :<\/strong>\u00a0Presque toutes les plan\u00e8tes de notre syst\u00e8me solaire - et certaines de leurs lunes - ont une atmosph\u00e8re. Cependant, les substances chimiques pr\u00e9sentes dans les sph\u00e8res atomiques individuelles varient beaucoup, et le comportement des atmosph\u00e8res (d\u00fb aux diff\u00e9rences d'orbite des plan\u00e8tes) est \u00e9galement diversifi\u00e9. La ceinture de Kuiper contient probablement des centaines de milliers d'objets glac\u00e9s de plus de 100 km de large et plus d'un trillion de com\u00e8tes (ou plus).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Le nuage d'oreilles :<\/strong>\u00a0Le nuage d'Oort est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 50 000 unit\u00e9s astronomiques du soleil et peut th\u00e9oriquement s'\u00e9tendre de 5 000 \u00e0 100 000 unit\u00e9s astronomiques dans le syst\u00e8me solaire. Le nuage de Oort contient jusqu'\u00e0 2 000 milliards d'objets glac\u00e9s et un tr\u00e8s grand nombre de com\u00e8tes. Il convient de noter que le nuage de Oort n'a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9<\/li>\n<li><strong>H\u00e9liosph\u00e8re :<\/strong>\u00a0Apr\u00e8s le nuage d'Oort vient la fin du syst\u00e8me solaire, l'\"h\u00e9liosph\u00e8re\", c'est-\u00e0-dire l'\u00e9norme champ magn\u00e9tique en forme de goutte d'eau qui entoure l'ensemble du syst\u00e8me solaire et qui est constitu\u00e9 de particules charg\u00e9es \u00e9lectriquement.
