About Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s early acting career was marked by challenges due to his accent, body, and name. He started with a small role in “Hercules in New York” in 1970, where his thick accent led to dubbing. He gained recognition in “Stay Hungry” in 1976, winning a Golden Globe. Despite initial struggles, he persevered.

Schwarzenegger rose to fame with “Conan the Barbarian” in 1982, followed by “The Terminator” in 1984, which became iconic. He became known for action films and engaged in a friendly rivalry with Sylvester Stallone. His successful films included “Commando,” “Predator,” and “Twins.”

In the ’90s, he starred in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and “True Lies.” However, “Batman & Robin” marked a downturn in his career. He returned with “End of Days,” “The 6th Day,” and “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.”

Schwarzenegger briefly retired from acting during his political career as California’s Governor. After leaving office, he made a comeback with films like “The Expendables 2,” “The Last Stand,” and “Terminator Genisys.”

He also explored television and comic book projects. In 2015, he returned to the Terminator franchise with “Terminator: Dark Fate.” He hosted “The New Celebrity Apprentice” for a season, using catchphrases from his movies. However, he left the show amid criticisms from Donald Trump.

In recent years, he continued acting, including a role in “Killing Gunther” and a new TV series titled “Outrider.”
